There was one Island that they got to name and they called it New Zealand. New Zealand means land of the long white clouds or Aotearoa. They came from the place called Hawaiki. One fact is people called themself Maori, they're normal people. People cannot be mean about Maori people. Maori killed a lot flightless birds for food and because they wanted to kill them for some feathers to keep warm. They also used their bones to make fish hooks.
They came to New Zealand on waka with lots of people on it.and draw they things on them self.
