Hi guys todahy in science. 

I am  going to be telling you about what i am doing in 

Aim: To make hokey pokey.

When the sugar and golden syrup combine with the baking soda it froths and makes carbon 

dioxide gas. That is why the hokey pokey has bubbles.

Materials:

1. 2 tablespoons Golden Syrup

2. 4 tablespoons sugar

3. 1 Heaped teaspoon of baking soda

4. Pot

5. Tablespoon and teaspoon

6. Bunsen burner

7. Grease proof paper

Method:

1. Put 4 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of golden syrup in a saucepan

2. and melt.

3. Bring to the boil and simmer gently for 2 minutes

4. Turn off and leave to cool slightly.

5. Add baking soda and stir vigorously.

6. Put the hokey pokey on a piece of grease prove paper to cool.

The more the sugar syrup is cooked the browner it becomes. If it is left cooking for to long your hokey

 pokey becomes burnt.

We can be really grumpy the next day and no one likes and grumpy teenager.

Why teenages need so much sleep because we need to re-enagise for the next day when we don,t get  the right amount of sleep you don,t what to do anything for the day. 

Why do we exercise  so we can get more mussle and exercise helps to make you more healthy.

The Blazon hot fire is out of control. 

Where on the port hills on a bunch  dired of grass. 

 There is a firefighter trying to fight the fire. He is alone and not having fun taking the fire down and it is late at night 10:am  at night. He has got a fire hose. and all the fire fighter safety clothes. There are some bunnies insex  other animals like that. 

The fire is a really bright orange or yellow. There is no light around apart from the fire. It is pitch black the hose might be a normal hose.

 When you arrive on your first  day of school you will get ot met your  home room teacher and taken to your home  room class and then get to meat your new class mats. a positive is geting car cards stamps when you get 20 car cards you get a 10$ to go to the hub or 10$ for the cafe. hornby high school goes to this thing e-velocity car race it is where build upon this electric car called the bullet  and this go kart called the  penguin and  practice for this car race that will happen at some date and the one that you build is the once  you finish the build on them. i did it this year and i would recommend to do t if you can i had a geart time doing it if you can.  the counsellors are really good they talk about things that are happen to you or with you. the do eotc days which is were you get go out of school go to diffrent places like jellie park which is a swimingf pool last year we went to adrenalin Forest jellie park and city centre and this prk called Margaret mahy

 Hi guys and ladies today i am going to be telling you what i did in  the school holidays.

Here is what I did.

Hey ladies and gentlemen, today I am going to be telling you about what I did during the October  holidays.

What I did my family and I and my uncles and aunties and cuz  went motorbiking down this

track called the quad bike track. That was one of the  physical things  I did  And also went

for walks and the neighborhood.

What I did for social activities, my dad and my sisters and my puppy Cruze  went down to

the local park/dog park and let our puppy go for a swim down there.

What i did  for  the emotional thing 

Happy, sad all sorts frustrated.

Things that I enjoyed in the holiday wasgoing motorbiking and going down to Dunedin and fwd with my uncle cuz.

Aim: To learn about bacteria and how they grow.

Equipment:

Equipment 

1. Agar dish

2. Cotton bud swab

3. Vivid pen

Method.

1. Collect the bacteria on a cotton bud swab from taps, computer keyboards or desks.

2. Divide the agar in half by drawing a line opn the lid.

3. Wipe the swab onto the agar solution.

4. Put the petri dish into the incubator for 1 week to allow the bacteria to grow.

5. Draw and label a bacteria.

6. Draw and label a scientific diagram of the experiment.

 1. take a test tube rack with 1 boiling tube each end of the rack and 4 test tubes.

2. half fill the boiling tube at one end with sodium hydroxide

Boring because there was nothing to do apart from school work. And riding my bike on the street. And playing on my xbox one fortnite and gta5 and other games. And playing on my phone. yeast and ginger beer

Yeast has been used for hundreds of years

Yeast needs to be worke up from  hibernation state.

Emuipment

• Spoons​
• Kettle
• Bowl
• Beaker
• Cloth Sieve 
• Funnel
• Plastic (PET) bottle and cap

Materials

Bug  (for a group of 3)

• 50ml warm water
• 1/2 tsp active dried yeast
• 1/2 tsp sugar
• 1/2 tsp ground ginger

Ginger beer ( for 1 Litre)

• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
• 1L cold water
• Juice of 1/2 lemon
• 1 tsp ginger beer bug

Method

1. In a large bowl, put the sugar and cream of tartar, then add the warm water. 
2. Stir to dissolve the sugar before adding the cold water. 
3. Add the ginger beer bug to the large bowl of cold water.
4. Stir well and then pour into your clean bottle.
5. Label your bottle with your group names.
6. Place all the bottles in the class container.
7. Store in a cool, dark place for one week before drinking.
8. Make sure you open the bottle in the kitchen sink as it might overflow. Open the cap bit by bit to allow the air to escape.
9. The ginger beer must be drunk over the 6 days
10. You must provide your own bottle.
